Expert Solution

In USA there is a agency called Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) which are designed to reduce and prevent air pollution by testing the vehicle, fuel and engine.

Followings are the importance of evaluating the vehicle emission testing and regulation:

  • The first and foremost is the environment protection and causing less pollution. Because Air pollutants in air have adverse environmental effects, such as smog, acid rain, death of forests, or reduced atmospheric visibility.
  • Emission standards set quantitative limits on the permissible amount of specific air pollutants that may be released from specific sources over specific timeframes. The procedure is also legal around the USA so if someone violates this law and regulation of testing they might have to pay penalties for the same.
  • This is also good for health, as pollutants may sometimes lead to reparatory issues such as asthma or allergies. Also this is good for building heaths and infrastucture as there are some pollutants which damages the health of building and causes fadeness of marbles and monuments, and USA have a lots of them.

So it is always best to take your vehicle in to get tested to make sure it is running as clean as it can be.
