Productive, happy employees are critical to successful businesses. As a manager, how would you motivate your employees? Be realistic in responding considering whether what you suggest can be accomplished by you.
Happy employees are better employees in the aspect of being able to provide us with better throughput and productivity. We, as managers can make use of processes such as job rotation, job enrichment through processes such as reward, accomplishments and through proper appraisal processes. While some aspects might be harder to achieve, understanding the capabilities of an employee would help us in finding them with a more suited position or task which helps by providing them with lesser errors and frustration which is often the main factor of stress at work.
The process of creating a friendly workplace competition is
achievable as a manager it results in a better, more motivated
workforce as well as allow us to use Maslow’s hierarchy of needs in
finding the best possible ways to motivate the employees base don't
heir needs.
All the above processes are achievable in the simplest execution, the most difficult process is appraisal as it needs a number of different elements such as employee monitoring, recording, decision-making but becomes easier with proper documentation and employee monitoring.
