Identify three conditions that would need to be implemented (or have already been implemented) in your organization to create a culture of innovation and change.
For implementing a culture of change, the following have been implemented in my organization:
1. Allowing for decision making autonomy at all levels
It means that every individual be it line-level employee or general manager has the autonomy to make their own decisions given their current situation and constraints, allowing for a seamless integration of structure and counting and reduction in the delay to respond to situations, allowing for growth to occur as part of the culture, eventually leading to innovation of structure.
2. A central knowledge control process
Through the use of business information systems, the company has allowed for the necessary data being collected at every possible interval and stage of the process, leading to its availability whenever necessary and allowing for better analytics to be performed for further improving the processes. Using a mix of decision making autonomy with technological decision support systems allow individuals to be more motivated and calcined to perform, and the organization adds it to the cultural value to strive towards innovation.
3. Following a learning organizational outlook and allowing mistakes and failures as a variable part of growth
My organization follows a learning structure where individuals
that make decisions are not criticized for their failures, rather,
it proves to be a learning outcome for them to turn their
shortcomings to success factors, eventually allow the culture to
become more inclined to participate and support future change
processes.
