Expert Solution

The primary advantage of implementing DRM(Digital Rights Management) system on a closed system is that it restricts the users from making multiple copies of the software whichever they owns. basically it puts damper on piracy which is a beneficial aspect for the closed systems.

The primary advantage of implementing DRM on open system is that it porvides some kind of security so that hackers will not be able to attack the system. In open source DRM usually acts as placebo as open source doesnot restrict on multiple copies, but it doesnot want the systems to be modified maliciously.
