biology is the course please type the anwers at least one to two pages

  1. One topic we will touch on in this course is heredity. To get you thinking about science and its application in your life, pick a trait or characteristic that you appreciate or are proud of that was passed on by your parents, or a trait or characteristic of yourself that you would want to pass on to the next generation. Share with us that trait or characteristic and why that makes you who you are.

  2. Also, tell us what you hope to get out of this course and/or what questions you want to have answered. Feel free to share a picture of yourself in a favorite spot (e.g., at the park with your dog), and tell us why you like that place.

There are many traits that I am blessed with from my parents. I am happy that they both married and gave birth to a kid like me. I am sure they have got great genes. :D Out of physical traits like straight hair, no smelly sweat, and many, one trait I like the most is my athletic body. Thanks to my parents to pass this on to me and I would love to pass on this to my generations. With athletic body, I don't mean just the body structure but also my metabolism and ability to play sports. Even if I haven't played a particular sport, if I try I can play it above average. I believe that is all because of the body and ability. I talked about metabolism because not only I was born with this but also my metabolism helps me maintain it. I respect this trait from my parents thus I make sure I work out/play/do outdoor activities, not taking the trait for granted. I believe in bringing out the best of it. I am very disciplined when it comes to my body, hence I avoid eating junk food and drinking soda most of the times and prefer to stick my diet to green veggies. Therefore, this is one trait that really defines who I am.

With It really amazes me how these traits are passed, why do I have straight hair but my friend has curly hair. What and how it's decided what will be passed on and what not would be passed on in the offspring. Why we have different skin colors and eye color. What would have happened if my mother and father wouldn't have met. I am also curious to know if I find someone with the same traits as mine(before that I would want to know if this is possible) and what would our offspring would look like? I also look forward to knowing what role does heredity play in evolution esp. human evolution. I also wonder how can people born with disabilities. I am hoping my inquisitiveness gets solved.

**add your pic on the ground/football field/basketball field**
I specifically choose to add this picture to further discuss about the previous answer about who I am. Most of my time is spent here, and I feel myself when I am playing. I forget everything and dedicate all my mind and body to the field!

I have a question about gibbs free energy vs gibbs standard free energy. We know that at equilibrium deltaG = 0 and Q = K, and deltaG standard is a non-zero value. But I don't understand. If I want to see if a reaction is at equilibrium then I have to calculate the deltaG standard first, before I can calculate deltaG to see if its value is 0 or not. And everytime I do that, the deltaG standard equals 0...
