Service Blueprint
A Service Blueprint is a map or picture that helps in portraying the service system accurately so that the different kinds of people involved in providing the service can clearly understand and deal with it regardless of their own roles or their individual viewpoints.
In other words, a Service Blueprint is a tool that is being used to define as well as specify the intangible processes of service. The major problem that usually arises with the new service is the difficulty in describing and depicting them at the concept and service development and stages of market test.
It helps in displaying the service by depicting the process of delivery of service, point of customer contact, role of customer as well as employees and the elements of the service which are visible. All these processes displayed simultaneously.
It breaks down the service into logical components and displays the tasks or steps involved in the process. Apart from this, it also displays how the task being executed, and the service evidence as the customer experiences it.
