Product placement is one of the best and most used techniques of marketing. It involves placing the products in movies and television series. The products are embedded in the movies or series in a way that it does not look odd watching them. Instead, they look like a part of the movie only. It is the reason why consumer relate to the products and brands and buy them when they come across the product in the store.
There are the following pros of product placement:
1. It helps the movie maker to generate revenue even before the release of the movie,
2. The brand gets a special mention and becomes a lifetime part of the movie and it builds brand value.
3. It increases the lifetime value of the product as people keep watching and attracting to products placed in the movies or series unline other types of advertising.
There are the following cons of product placement:
1. In case the movie fails to succeed, it affects the product placed as it does not get the eyeballs it deserved.
