Write a perspective on your own neighborhood. Do you feel you are defined by your surroundings, or are you more "a citizen of the world"? 200 words
I’m more of a citizen of the world but my surrounding still lives in the past shame which they think that is the past glory of white skin superiority. They also at times talk that America is for White Americans but I used to think we are not Americans once but we were all Europeans who took the land from the natives, drove them to the corners of the country and boasted of our achievements. America is built with the blood and sweat of all the nationalities, so they all deserve respect and equal treatment. All of us are in the same boat because America is for all who deserve by talent and not by skin colour. So, I hate this narrow mind-set of people.
I love to enjoy different food, travel to different places, meet different people and know about their culture. I would like to appreciate people for who they are and treat them equally. I want to be more open to look at people without any prejudice and stereotyping. When one is open to become a world citizen, one would be happy anywhere they go and with anyone they come across. As the world become more globalized, I would love to be a citizen of the world.
