Common successful leadership styles are- Autocratic and participative leadership.

Autocratic leader is someone who is taking decision behalf of the whole group without taking any specific input from the group or fellow team members. Participative leader is someone who take decision based on the input from the whole team and take decision on more collaborative way.

In autocratic leadership followers belief on their leader than the blindly trust the leader and any decision taken by the leader motivate them.

In participative leadership all team members and followers have their input in decision making which motivate them to materialize the decision by working for it.

Both type of leadership is necessary in the organization. It depends on the team size and work in hand. If team size is big or making decision in participative way is difficult it is better to take in autocratic way. Again, for higher level decision it is better to follow participative leadership.

Common successful leadership traits are-

1. Self-management- Self management is managing your goals and jobs before managing others.
2. Acting strategically- Vision for future and act strategically to achieve organization goal and objective.
3. Effective communication- Effective communication is a major leadership trait, communication should be upward and downward.
4. Being accountable and taking leadership for the team and being effective decision maker.

Successful leadership ethical behavior-

1. Ethical behavior should be notice in both private and corporate life.
2. Leader should show concern for others.
3. Leader should use personal and organizational value to guide others.
4. Implement decision based on fact not based on opinion.
