How does your leadership book address systems thinking?
Does the book align with or contradict your understanding of systems thinking?
System thinking can be defined as a management practice which mainly deals with the understanding of a system by evaluating the connection and relationship between the elements which form the entire system.
Thus the basis of system thinking is to consider the different aspects of the decisions and how the different stakeholders and elements are going to be affected by the decision taken. In order to have a systematic thinking in the business, it is important for the business leaders of the decision makers to have a complete analysis of how the decision taken by them will affect, society, and those who are involved in the decision directly and indirectly.
The systematic thinking is more closely related to having a comprehensive analysis of various situations, analysing the pros and cost of each decision, the advantages and disadvantages received by the different stakeholders directly or indirectly. This is a more ethical way of taking the decisions as it will help the management of the decision maker to analyse a certain situation from various aspects. The decision maker can understand the negative impacts which can be led by the decision.
