A substance or a medicine which has a physiological effect when introduced to the body is known as drugs.

Medicines which are often taken during depression or as pain killers when taken in overdose form which creates hallucination and other effects on body is known as drug.

Drugs when consumped for a long time can have an adverse effect on brain functions. Drugs can slow down the functioning of brain when ingested by the body. Moreover long term abuse of drigs can change the working of brain forever. Drugs can cause the brain to shrink by killing most of the brain cells. Certain drugs can make you loose your memory which will make you forget everything by affecting the short term memory part of the brain. Drugs can destroy your brain cells which will end up your thinking power ,planning power and stratergies making power. Sometimes overdose of drugs can increase the blood flow to the brain which can cause the vessels to explode. Certain drugs can slow down breathing by affecting on brain stem which may lead to the death of the person. Certain drugs even have the power to impair the body movement by destroying myelin of the brain.Drugs can even alter the system of sending and recieving information of the brain by the excess chemicals, over stimulating of tge brain and by binding to the receptors.

Drugs have an adverse impact on the society . Drug abusers often loose their power of thibking and cannot judge anything what is right or wrong which leads to most of the household disputes . Teenagers involved in drug abuses often get farther from their parents and families . They live in their own world and never share anything with their family members which puts them in great troubles most of the time. There always remains unnecesaary anger between the drug abusers and non drug abusers members of the family. Most often drug abuse by teenagers results in the commitment of crime and often due to the drug abuse habbit of teenagers they end up by putting themselves into juvenile courts and correction house.Hence the drug abuse has a very negative impact on the well being of society.
