Answer) Emotional intelligence is one of the most talked about terms owing to its importance,I would measure EI using following ways

• Situation based testing-How well you manage your emotions if some difficult situation is there,suppose you are working at a restaurant and you encounter a customer starts yelling as s/he finds food to be cold,how would you as potential manager of restaurant will react can tell about your EI.
• EI is also about how you see and manage others' emotions,so a situation could be where you are asked to comfort a fellow employee about a given situation and guide them through the process.
• EI can also be meausered by creating a theoritical test and then eveluating the results

As described in above situations,EI could help human resource to mark EI of its own team as well as employees which can then be used while communicating something as well as deciding which person is good for which position in future which can lead to effective management as well good and harmonious relations.
