INTRODUCTION

For small or large oragnisation effective planning and control in purchasing activities in any business organization is important.effective planning is the fundamental and primary managerial function for any activity. it is indispensable for successful strategy implementation and strategy evaluation because all other element of management depend upon proper planning and control.

STATEMENT OF PROBLEMS:

Most times the business will have a problem of getting good material due to lack of planning, it might be lack of planning of efficient of the supplier to supply at the right time. Therefore this research is expected to solving the dilemma that will occur when planning step is not taking and offering good way to be used in planning step.

Purpose of the study

This research is to consider the necessity of planning effectively for getting the organizational materials and also to resolve the common conflicts that are found common in the planning section of any organization.

Objectives of the study

1. put emphasis on the importance of planning

Game Theory: Game Theory can be applied in purchasing and procurement negotiations to achieve favourable outcomes and make strategic decisions.Buyer and supplier are known as Players of the game and the negotiation between them is called the Game. The already information available to both the parties is known as Information Set .the action that a winner will take under different condition is known as Strategy. Pay Off is the payout a player receives at the end of the game. the point at which both the parties settle an agreement is called Equilibrium.

The study will be conducted in Baltimore, state of Maryland ,US also has industry sectors and advanced manufacturing.

The target population comprise of staff (Senior, Middle and Junior) and Management of the various industries at beltimore

The sample comprised twenty 20 staff in charge of procurement department of various organizations.
