The computer based decision making tool I would like to talk about is the Decision Support System Or DSS. It refers to the wide range of computer based tools like the sinulation models or the methods/techniques which are extensively developed to support thr participatory processes and the decision analysis.

A DSS would consist of a different coupled hydrodynamic and socio-economic model, database and also is provided with a dedicated inferface in order to make it more easily accessible by the non technical or non specialists like the decision or the policy makers.

DSS consists or specific prediction and simulation capabilities which is used to integrate the data, collect it and convert it to translate it into meaningful information that would assist the manager or the user using it to make effective decisions. It also helos in training, communication and experimentation as well. DSS could help in facilitating the exchange of information and dialogue thus providing effective and efficient insights to the non experts and thus help them in the exploration and making of the policy options.
