For example, a report omits important information, or a product brochure has pictures that have been embellished and don’t reflect the real product. Or, material is copied from an external source without proper attribution, or people who have undisclosed conflicts of interest.

When there is unethical behavior in the work place, the first thing to do is not to take action without proof. Nothing should be done without evidence and proper checking should be done to find that the behavior is truly unethical. The behavior should be documented.Company procedure should be followed in reporting unethical behavior. The report should be taken to the supervisor. If the issues go beyond unethical , ie they become illegal ,an attorney dealing with such cases should be approached. At times it might also appear that the company is not willing to do anything about unethical behavior and then it is wise to go elsewhere for a job.

Yes I have experienced an unethical behavior in work place when I came to know about improper hiring practices of one of my colleague. It was violation of hiring practices.

I dealt with it by reporting to the manager who in turn reported to the HR.This situation was dealt as per the policy of the company.
