What parties to the building design and construction process—in addition to architects, mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers—will play a substantive role in establishing the success of fire protection systems? For each party that is identified, briefly outline the role they can/should play.

Civil Engineers / Structural Engineers are having substantial role in success of fire protection system. In working of fire protection system apart from role of mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and architects , role of Civil/ Structural Engineers is utmost important because, buildings are designed and constructed by Civil/ Structural Engineers. Civil/ Structural Engineers designs the building and they are the person who will decide the configuration design of the fire protection system in the building. During construction it is important that the fire protection system is installed in the building in proper manner as per design. If the fire protection system is properly designed but not properly installed or embeded in the building then there is no mean to use this system. If the system is not properly installed then there is even chances that the protection system gets damaged under fire itself.

Therefore apart from proper design of fire protection system it is utmost important to properly install the system inside the building for its efficient working, which is made successful by Civil Engineers.
