A friend of mine goes off for weeks at a time by himself -- he hikes, climbs mountains, communes with "nature." Another friend spends hours at a time by himself at her home computer -- she reads manuals, creates macros, communes with Internet traffic. Which one might be thought of as a deep, meditative person and which might be thought of as an anti-social loner? Explain your response.
To what extent does a person's interaction with technology affect your view of him or her?
The friend who hikes, climbes mounyamou, communes with nature can be thought of as a deep, meditative person because meditation means connecting with yourself, your conciousness and also to the conciousness of the nature which is believed to be connected to ours. The one who spends time at her home computer, reading manuals, creating macros and communing with the internet traffic can be thought of as an antisocial loner because, technologies are just a reflection of human, they are limited, and it gives oppression to those loners who feel uncomfortable and insecure to do a real interaction with people.
I believe just a person's interaction with technology can not give a trustable information about his personality, there are other factors which vontribucon to a complex personality. But it has been found that those who are loners and uncomfortable at socialization, they tend to interact more on social media, or spend more time on gaming or other things that can substitute their actions for socializing.
