The following are some maintenance strategies:

1. Breakdown (DEFECT /REACTIVE) Maintenance;

2. Preventive Maintenance;

3. Predictive Maintenance ;

4. Project Maintenance;

5. Proactive Maintenance

Provide a brief description of each of these strategies, then give examples of where each strategy would work best in real business and why you say so.

Please solve this question as soon as possible as it is part of an assignment that I have to submitt within 10 hours. Thank you.

breakdown maintenance-- in this strategies repairs works when equipment are broken or can not operated. as changing of belt on pulley. as failure of belt can not be repaired so we have to change it.

Preventive Maintenance-- in this strategies repairs are done for equipment to prevent the failure. it is performed so that equipment does not fails unexpectally . foe example lubrication, cleaning , oil changing by analysing debris in oil we can find ou tcondition of equipment like gears.

. Predictive Maintenance ;-- in this strategies we find out by the condition of equipment when is needed for maintenance. in this methode we detect the problem which may cause failure. for exmaple sensore, oil anaylsis

Project Maintenance;-- in this strategies we tracked all activities related to maintenance plan. it works under project manager who take cares of all activites. in this strategies maintenace activities are provides various firms under project and maintenance done by these firms not industry personnel. for example CNC machine callibration

Proactive Maintenance--in this strategies we find out the real cause of equipment avoid failure that may cause due this equipment.in this we focused on equipment failure that can be elimnated.the main purpose of proactive maintenance are reduce downtime, failure and risk. for example oil changes in car.
