Expert Solution

To take care of anxiety disorder several approaches are there from the various psychologists but being a counsellor that person should be able to judge the patient carefully that wheather the patient is really sufferring from the anxiety disorder or he is irritated somehow due to some of his personal reasons. If so , then the counselling on one to one is the best option through which the counsellor can reach the mind of the patients. Otherway if it is really the problem of anxiety disorder, then first the counsellor needs to measure the degree of the anxiety and have to treat accordingly. Sometimes patients while sufferring from high anxiety disorder might not be able to take the counselling sessions and in those cases medical helps are required to keep the mind of the patients in such a way that atleast the patient should be able to take the counselling sessons.

Initially, through the interactions on first time counsellor may ask some questions which should be close ended and thus if patient reacts with anxiety then counsellor may give a thought to those problems accordingly.
