Alzheimer's disease should be diagnosed like any other disorder.
If the patient doesn't want to disclose his/her condition to family.it is okay because their right of choice should be respected. It is up to the patient whether he/she want to tell his/her family or not.
Alzheimer's disease is a mental disorder that causes a decrease in mental ability to remember and think properly that affect the patient's daily life.
Symptoms of dementia:
The hippocampus is the part of brain first to be damaged in dementia.it is the region where all the learning and memory-related processes take place.due to the damage in brain cell in this region, learning ability and memory affected badly In the condition of dementia levels of neurochemical acetylcholine decreases very much and level of glutamate increases that interferes thinking process.
