There have been an increase in the number of same se-x couples in the society. These people, though increasing in the numbers, have been still in minority. The upbringing of children being raised by homose-xual parents, is similar to the upbringing of heterose-xual children. Though faced with humiliation in the older times, the children have been able to speak for themselves today. These children are much open with both their parents, with healthy discussions being able to express their opinions and be vocal about it, since the very institution of their family is about being vocal and expressing opinions. These kids, though have been ostracised on a regular basis, have been able to keep themselves forward.
The children with same se-x parents do have some differences. This is because these children lack maternal car- in ga-y couples and paternal care in les-bian couples. It might happen that these children would be feeling the stench of a fatherless family and would feel deprived especially for a father. The presence of a father in the family helps make the child feel safe, especially for girls. Some of these children may have lost the ability to trust people due to the constant humiliation faced by them throughout their life. These children are known to show more anxiety and lesser abilities to be intimate to people. These children have normal biological growth, but are psychologically deeply impacted since the instability in the family structure along with constant oppression affects normal mental growth.
