E-wastes recycle and disposal
second-hand markets where reusable devices can be re-sold at reasonable prices
Donation systems that send used home appliances to poorer rural areas of western China
Through peddlers who re-sell e-wastes to dealers this is informal sector of recycle.
slide 5
Treatment for Electronic Waste
E-waste is sent to recycling sites in order to extract valuable metals and organic materials to be resold for economic value.
E-waste classification by manual dismantling and chemical separation.
It involves practices such as heating circuit boards, cutting cables and wires, chipping and melting plastics, and extracting precious metals through acid leaching and incineration.
slide 6
Informal Sector
The most of e-waste recycling in China takes place illegally inside the informal sector.
The informal sector is a system of small-scaled, mainly family-run workshops and backyard recycling sectors.
It is usually run by peddlers traveling door-to-door offering minimal fees for disposal of obsolescent appliances.
The informal recycling method consists mainly of manual, unskilled labour .

Adverse effects to environment and damage to the public health in china
outdoor air pollution is the biggest environmental challenge for public health.
water shortages and pollution
soil pollution
Adverse health effects of solid fuels is very high including lung cancer, acute respiratory infection, and chronic pulmonary disease to humans
slide 8
Health and environmental related problems are serious
Health and environmental related problems are serious due to following reasons :
Lack of awareness of damage caused to the health and environment.
Electronic wastes are disposed to the regions with low labour cost and
Poor supervision and management on environment protection, Producing environmental risk.
e-waste recycling sites in China lack the appropriate facilities for protection of environmental and human health.
