Healthy self esteem is a necessity for a good quality of life and holistic well being.Dubrin's view suggests that life experiences are crucial in building self esteem and lack of self esteem causes communication barriers.Following are examples on developing a healthy and balanced self esteem.

  • Focus and amplification of strengths and positive qualities in oneself. Its a good note that one accept's that everyone has weaknesses and their negative aspects are okay too.
  • Surround yourself with people who love you and you feel belonged to.
  • Gather information about yourself, Introspect and don't judge yourself.

All the above points are important , so I feel that all should be considered.Selfesteem has psychological and social basis of origin. One has to uplift the self understanding and social /interpersonal relationships as well for the development of healthy self esteem Families play an important role here though.

Good luck!
