Firearm violence is a big menace in America .it remains a significant problem in the U.S. (with 2,787 adolescents killed in 2015). US tops the list in firearm violence in School shooting. School shootings are every parent's worst nightmare.

Comprehensive strategies are required to prevent firearm violence in the school shootings. It involve a mix of suicidal thoughts, despair and anger and access to guns.

For effictivelh preventing school violence involves that the school counsellor should know students individually, building relationships with them, and noticing behavioral changes.

For reducing firearm voilence in school shooting programs and policies should have the following aims.

1.Reduce the day-to-day aggression The first thing we have to do is to minimize these minor aggressions. Experts feel that these aggressions and community stress and vulnerabilities of youth,will result in the emotional and behavioral problems which will become a bigger problem in future.maintaining peacefull school environment is key to get rid of this menace from schools .

2.Decrease the isolation and establishing a sound relation : decreasing isolation in the students may prove helpful in getting rid of this disease from schools .Involving students in peer activities, and other school programmes will help in minimizing this .Positive relationships between students and their fellow students teachers, and families can be critical assets in promoting youth’s well-being and preventing school violence.

3.Close gaps in mental health services for children who are some emotional and behavioral problems and helping them with providing adequate mental health care, Mental Counselling of such students is necessary.

4.There should be sensible gun laws .Access to deadly weapons should be avoided or reduced.

5.Establish a culture of gun safety .reducing firearm access to students with behavior changes.mandatory training and licencing for owners is important  

6.Societal Level Strategies

Creation of sound social and cultural climate that surrounds schools affects the school firearm violence. creating the conditions and systems to put evidence-based violence prevention approaches in place,firearm violence can be minimized.

By taking these steps firearm violence in the school shootings can be reduced.
