antibodies attack self cells.
The main treatment include
Pain killers , corticosteroids and NSAIDs ( non steroidal anti
inflammatory drug). These drugs decrease pain but donot cure the
course of diseas .Given for both rhematoid arthritis and
osteoarthritis patients.
Leflunomide tablets are given for rheumatoid arthritis patient
,which inhibit pyramidine sysnthesis , reduce damge to the
joint.
Some slow acting drugs include methotrexate according to the
dose are given to improve the clinical condition.
Doctors also prescribe folic acids tablets along with
methotrexate because methotrexate is anticancerous drug which
decrease folic acid level.
Disease modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARD's ) are certain
drug which act on cellular level and can cure the disease , which
is slightly expensive.
