A) answer- Stressors that affect seniors are the loss of a loved one,a change in relationship with children, too much unstructured time on your hands; or loss of physical abilities such as vision, hearing, balance, or mobility.
Stress can lead to an increase in adrenaline, eaise in BP and heart rate.
B) stressors like anxiety and stress that are constant for a long period in the mother can affect the fetus too by increasing the cortisol hormone level. If the baby is exposed to cortisol for a prolonged period, it can lead to anxious and colicky baby.
C)Stress for prolonged period can increase the risk of conditions like obesity, heart disease, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, depression, gastrointestinal problems, and asthma.
Usually in daiabetic patients psychological stress alters insulin needs especially in obese patients and increases the risk factors.
D) There are 3 stages for stress response which are alarm, resistance, and exhaustion. The alarm stage refers to the initial symptoms the body experiences when under stress. The resistance stage is generally after the initial shock of a stressful event and having a fight-or-flight response, the body begins to repair itself and followed by exhaustion stage.
