`Hey,

Note: If you have any queries related to the answer please do comment. I would be very happy to resolve all your queries.

Wi-Fi is a wireless networking technology that allows devices such as computers (laptops and desktops), mobile devices (smart phones), and other equipment (printers and video cameras) to interface with the Internet. It allows these devices--and many more--to exchange information with one another, creating a network.

Internet connectivity occurs through a wireless router. When you access Wi-Fi, you are connecting to a wireless router that allows your Wi-Fi-compatible devices to interface with the Internet.

WiMAX is one of the hottest broadband wireless technologies around today. WiMAX systems are expected to deliver broadband access services to residential and enterprise customers in an economical way.

WiMAX is such an easy term for the 802.16 standards. The 802.16a standard for 2-11 GHz is a wireless metropolitan area network (MAN) technology that will provide broadband wireless connectivity to Fixed, Portable and Roaming devices.

It can be used to connect 802.11 hot spots to the Internet, provide campus connectivity, and provide a wireless alternative to cable and DSL for last mile broadband access

WiMax is a standardized wireless version of Ethernet intended mainly as an alternative to wired technologies such as Cable Modems or DSL to provide broadband access to customer premises.

WiMAX would operate similar to WiFi, but at higher speeds over greater distances and for a greater number of users. WiMAX has the ability to provide service even in areas that are difficult for wired infrastructure to reach and the ability to overcome the physical limitations of traditional wired infrastructure.

WiMAX is Based on Wireless MAN technology and Acronym for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access.

Lifi is a visible light communication system, which makes use of LED light bulb emitting light pulses that are undetectable to the human eye and this makes possible the data travel between transmitter and receiver. LiFi is a wireless technology holds the key to solving challenges faced by 5G. LiFi can transmit at multiple gigabits and is more reliable, virtually interference free and uniquely more secure than radio technology such as Wi-Fi or cellular.

LiFi is a mobile wireless technology that uses light rather than radio frequencies to transmit data. The technology is supported by a global ecosystem of companies driving the adoption of LiFi, the next generation of wireless that is ready for seamless integration into the 5G core.

802.11bb Global Light Communications Standards. The objective is to extend 802.11 to include the light medium. Radio frequency communication requires radio circuits, antennas and complex receivers, whereas LiFi is much simpler and uses direct modulation methods similar to those used in low-cost infrared communications devices such as remote control units. LED light bulbs have high intensities and therefore can achieve very large data rates.

Difference between WiFi ,WiMAX and LiFi

WiFi uses Radio waves to create wireless high-speed internet and network connections. A wireless adapter is needed to create hotspots.

WiMax uses spectrum to deliver connection to network and handle a larger inter-operable network. Wifi is defined under IEEE 802.11x standards where x defines various WiFi versions. LiFi is a mobile wireless technology that uses light rather than radio frequencies to transmit data.

Kindly revert for any queries

Thanks.
