Wi-fi:WiFi stands for Wireless Fidelity. It is defined under IEEE 802.11x standards.here x define WiFi versions Wifi is used for Local Area network application..Range of WiFi is around 100 meters which is very smaller then WiMax.WiFi is a short range technology with transmission speed of 54mbps.

Limitation: Wifi is slower than a wired connection. And security is also less.

WiMax: WiMax stands for Wireless Inter-operability for Microwave Access. It is define under IEEE 802.16y. Here y defines various version of WiMax WiMax is used for Metropolitan Area Network application. Range of WiMax is 50 90km which is a grater then WiFi and Li-Fi. WiMax is for long range technology with transmission speed of 70Mbps.

Limitation: Big installation and operational coast and requires strong electrical support.

Li-Fi: Li-Fi stands for light fidelity.it uses light waves to transmit data. LiFi requires LiFi enabled LED bulbs for data transfer. range of Li-Fi is 10 meter which is less then Wi-Fi and WiMax. data transfer rate of Li-Fi is approximately 1gbps .Data transfer in Li-Fi is more secure. Li-Fi is a wireless communication with short range of coverage distance.

Limitation: Can't use without a light source.requires strong electrical support.
