5- Please explain where is produced the fecundation. Which hormones are produced in the placenta?
5..Fecundation or Fertilization occurs in the ampulla of Fallopian tube. It is the process of fusion of gametes like human egg and sperm to produce Zygote cell or fertilizer egg , initiating prenatal development.
The 4 stages of fertilization are a) sperm preparation and also egg leaves ovary and enters fallopian tube. b) sperm egg recognition and binding. c) sperm egg fusion and fertilised egg divides. d) fusion of sperm and egg pronuclei and activation of the Zygote.
Hormones produced in placenta are: Human Chorionic Gonadotropin ( hCG), Human Chorionic Somammotropin ( hCS) or placental Lactogen(hPL). Other hormones chorionic adrnocorticotropin, Chorionic thyrotropin, Relaxin, Steroid hormones like Estrogen and Progesterone, Placental peptide hormones like Neuropeptide Y, Inhibit and Activin, Atrial natriuretic peptide ( ANP), Hypothalamic like releasing hormones known as GnRH( Gonadotropin releasing hormone).
