At the point when changes happen that either increasing or diminishing the project scope, you should choose whether or not to update the Scope statement

You may need to analyze most changes to a project environment keeping in mind the end goal to decide whether they warrant an alteration to the scope statement.

The scope statement needs to be updated if the change will bring about an addition, deletion, or modification to the end product or service indicated in the project objective. There are five normal sources of change in the scope statement:

1. When the project specification changes:

Project specification changes are the most common source of change in the project environment. These sorts of changes mirror extra abilities or highlights that were excluded in the original scope specifications but rather are viewed as sufficiently essential by the customer to be incorporated. Since they are at the customer's demand, specification changes dependably require an update to the scope statement.

2. Design change

Design changes happen when an individual from the project team distinguishes a superior method to produce or deliver the finished product or service. Unlike Specification changes, design changes don't bring about a new feature. They basically offer an approach to enhance the product or service.

3. Change in Technology

Technology changes are another source of changes in the scope statement. These progressions happen when new kinds of innovation in hardware, material, correspondence, or ability end up accessible.

4. Business cycle change

Business cycle changes happen when circumstances within the business industry change. Declarations by competitors and extreme changes in the exchange rate are two sources of business change. These progressions should be updated in the scope statement if the change directly affects the project delivery dates.

5. Staff change

Staff changes happen when key people associated with the project leave or are added to the project team. As the project advances, the lead designer may leave, the undertaking chief might be moved to another project, or a key expert might be added to the task.

It is always required to meet the object of the project or organization. The objectives are decided by the board of Directors if it is an internal project but if it is an external project the objectives need to be defined clearly by the client and then if it is required to change the scope statement that too as per the request of the client then the objectives should be met,
