Ida B Wells was born in slavery in hollysprings with 8 siblings , at age of 16 her parents died , she joined a school and worked there ,as a teacher ,

then she joined newspaper and writes articles on various society problems like lynching,racism , womens rights etc, due to which she had to leave her job , she joined and co owned free speech newspaper then and started writing articles about various sosciety and law and order problems , so that they can get attention in the society and can get solved

she faced many problems during school ,where those were related to racism , against blacks , after the end of slavery ,ill kind of behaviour with them , etc ,....

she speak about these problems to public and writes about them so that people may get attention to these problems and in doing so she was known to many is she started working as an activist from this stage ,

she continued to write articles on various issues such as

Equality

Lynching etc

In 1884 when the  Civil Rights Act of 1875 was established after an year , when she was moving through train in ac coach, a white came to her asked her to leave her seat , on her refusal , they thrown her to another coach , she wrote this in her newspaper and also won case in court , but in supreme court she lost this case , so she was very disappointed with the kind of law and prder in the country

she has to quit her job due to her publicity as an activist ,her articles in newspapers

she was so influential , she has the stories she faced in her life from slavery to racism, her friends got died in lynching,

that was really shocking for her , but for the rights of blacks , mainly African Americans , she protested , spoken and influenced to people to fight against it , forced govt and supreme court to maintain and change law which were mainly for black criminals

Later she joined The Free Speech and Headlight newspaper as co owner and editor ]

this was a journal documented by her teling the story of how her friends died in a lynching accident from whites

this told the various lynching stories to the northern's who think as this is common and is not the thing to worry for , this is common practice against blacks and should be done

for these kind of peoples , she portrayed a mind changer person , she was able to change certain rules or laws for people

disenfranchise most black people and many poor white people through use of poll taxes, literacy tests and other devices. in 1890's

She worked with national civil rights leaders to protest a major exhibition,in Chicago for African American Civil Rights

She helped in organising the  National Afro-American Council.which was  formed against violent lynchings and of increasing disfranchisement of African-American voters in the South.and was able to do this as in law passed in 1890'sabout disenfranchise most black people,white and poor

She was one of the founders of the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs

She was one of the founders of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), as she helped in founding this but her name was removed from this later .
