(Answer) If one were to look at the context of treatment of children and how it should be exclusive of each child, Anne Bradstreet’s writings would be apt. Bradstreet said, “Diverse children have their different natures, some are like flesh which nothing but salt will keep from putrefaction, some again like tender fruits that are best preserved with sugar.”

Bradstreet’s emphasis was on that fact that each child has their innate temperament. A child should be brought up and reared in terms of their personality and not a “one size fits all” system.

Social science today is more inclusive of a wider range of personalities and types. This entails that social scientists and even society as a whole are presumably more accommodating of different levels of Down syndrome in children. They were previously treated similarly, no matter their differences simply because of a lack of knowledge that their condition is also varied.

A fever would generally last for three to four days. The treatment on the first day is a lot more extreme than on the last day. This is simply because the fever will have subsided and would not require the same amount of care.
