why are some authorities more trusted than others??

There are alot of reasons why some authorities are trusted then others. Most prominent of them would be the trust factor build up by the certain authorities. The work done by them by them over the years speak about them and it builds up the goodwill over a period of time. The three soucrces through which trust can he rooted are ; Disposition Based , cognition based , Affect based.

1. Disposition based - It is general expectation that is more related to the trustwr than the authority. Its is a product of both nature and nurture.

2. Cognition based - When the trust is based on rational evaluation of trustworthiness of an authority then it is referred as cognition based. The authorities tend to keep their promises I.E. the authorities have integrety.

3. Affect based - This acts as a supplement to thr types of trust discussed before. It involves more emotions than being rational and is developed over a period of time.

  The authorities who follow work ethics and follow these root  root sources to gain trust end up being trusted then other authorities
