Expert Solution

Yes, if white workers in the US have access to better job search information (e.g., due to greater internet access or access to other job networks) than minorities, than this constitute one possible explanation of the racial earnings gap. This is because as the white workers have better job search information they can find better job for them than the minorities => they get higher wage than minorities. This cause a racial earnings gap. Again the white workers in US get higher wage than the minorities for the same work so the white workers have higher earnings than the minorities => there is a presence of discrimination between white workers and minorities in US. Again job separation rates is more for the minorities than the white workers. So minorities normally invest less on education than the white workers => their earning is also less than white workers. Sometime education is also the factors for the better job opportunities for the white workers as more educated means access to better job search information and better job opportunities. So the access to better job search information than minorities is one factor of the racial earnings gap between white workers and the minorities in US.
