Living in an environment where there are people from diverse cultural backgrounds and well as various socioeconomic strata benefits any individual. This is because it helps them to see things from the point of view of people belonging to different backgrounds. They get a chance to learn about various cultures and their traditions and customs. They also learnt the importance of money and how to earn it (if living in a community which is below the poverty line). They may learn the importance of a good education is there are intelligent people who are doing well in their careers around them. If they are living with individuals who identify as LGBTQIA, it gives them an idea of their world and the struggles they face. In conclusion, lvining in a diverse community helps to generate understanding, empathy and compassion about other people.

Adults who work with children and adolescents should keep in mind the diverse backgrounds they come from and try to understand the adversities they might have faced. This will help to work with children and provide a better approach towards teaching them.
