Even among native English-speaking children and adolescents,
linguistic diversity exists. two specific examples of this
linguistic diversity and for each example, how this might influence
a child or adolescent's cultural identity.
religious pluralism as it exists in the U.S. one benefit living
in a religiously pluralistic society provides to children, as well
as one challenge that may occur as a result.
ways in which a child or adolescent's religious affiliation might influence the development of his or her values and/or identity.
Linguistic diversity is something which children face as a student, mostly immigrants get into the situation and the effects are quite visible on both the students and the teachers, It also depends on the specific cultural beliefs of a family and if a child is influenced by this then the reflection would be shown in the way of talking. If that's quite religious then if the school most children hold such kind of thoughts in themselves then it would be easier for the child to make a connection with them. But if there are minor children who face such a situation then they can be humiliated. As an example, it happens in Belgium the most. It's the teacher's responsibility that they create a friendly environment for those students who belong to migrants family so that they can communicate in a better way. There are advantages like different people with different languages, different social beliefs can increase the area of gaining knowledge and it broadens the mind to accept varieties of unknown things. However, in USA comforts are given to children with migrant background so they can be able to finish their higher studies.
Religious pluralism in USA has affected children in many ways like it gives the children democratic rights so that they can voice out their opinions and they don't become partial about certain things but it affected some like religions which have bad moral values and think they are doing everything to reach God then that affects the children belong to that particular society and their mindset can be poisonous to other children around them. Thats a challenge one child faces so the surrounding matters the most here.
Religious affiliation can affect a child mentally and physically. Fmily with religious beliefs teach their children to follow philosophical ways of life as a result, the child become a good student of religious related subjects. Their academic excellence differs that way. They don't find interest in maths or science. Migrants with different beliefs mostly are affected by this. It depends on the priority of the cvhild as well.
