Use of computers in the health care system

• It reduces patient waiting time.
• Computers in the healthcare area reduces the workload of the healthcare workers, they can spend there quality time for other important works.
• Easy communication.
• It can store a lot of information together.
• Easy to collect old history related to illness or old patient reports.
• Less time consuming to enter patient details to computerized system than paper based methods.
• Reduce the risk of errors in the patient details.
• Low healthcare cost.
• Reducing healthcare waste.
• Less space for patients record keeping.

Even though there is protection for computerized details, the information in the system can be used to hack , illegally downloaded, lost in crash etc.

In my opinion , Still there is a possibility to hack the patient details and lossing patient confidential matters.

The information in the system can be used to create false ID, to purchase drugs, submit false insurance, claims etc
