Condition : . Turner Syndrome (45, XO) in XO individual (compare with typical XX)
1.a) compare what type of gonads develop in the condition you chose versus typical development of individual with the same genotype (sex chromosomes):
1.b) compare what type of internal genitals develop in the condition you chose versus typical development of individual with the same genotype (sex chromosomes):
Ans1a:-
concept:- If SRY gene ( on y chromosome) is present in a person then it lead to formation of testis in that person.
And if SRY gene is absent in the person then ovaries will develop in the pt.
Gonad development in condition person :- OVARIES BUT IT WILL BE only streaks of connective tissue and non functional. Because one x chromosome is absent.
Gonadal development in typical person (XX) :- PERSON WILL DEVELOP NORMAL FUNCTIONAL OVARIES.
ANS1B:-
Condition person (XO) ---- no sertoli cell so no mullerian inhibiting substance do mullerian duct will differentiate and form female internal genitalia like uterus , fallopian tube , cervix.
But the internal genital irgan will not be fully develop as estrogen is not being produced by streak ovary.
Typical person (XX) :- No mulletrian inhibiting substance so mulletrian duct will differentiate to form uterus , fallopian tube and cervix.
And as ovary is forming estrogen here , this internal genital organs will be mature and functional.
