George Floyd was African American 46 years old jobless person. He lost his Job due to coronavirus lockdown.

On 25th May 2020 a report was made by an employee of grocery shop Cup Foods. It was reported that George Floyd had paid counterfeit $20 to buy the cigarette. At around 20:08, he was arrested by the police officer pointing a gun at him and handcuffed him. He was pulled out of his car. Once he became compliant the police officer told him that he is being arrested for buying cigarettes with a counterfeit note. From the police body cameras, it is clear that Floyd was co-operative.

The resistance started when they tried to put him in their squad car. Floyd was constantky resisting his arrest and at 20:19 police officer, Mr. Chauvin took him to the passenger side where he fell with face down and handcuffed. The eye witness started filming the tussle on their mobile phones and it shows that Mr. Chauvin placed his left knee between his head and neck. Floyd was continuously leading the officer that he could not breathe (20times), he pleaded for his mother and kids and asked the officer not to kill me. Mr. Chauvin did nt remove his knee he kept it continuously for eight minutes and 46 seconds, the bystanders warned him that he is bleeding from the nose. It was looking as if Mr. Chauvin was showing the hatred and stereotype discrimination towards African Americans. The other three white officers did not stop Mr.Chauvin.

From the police body camera, it is clear that after six minutes he became responsive but the police officer did not remove his knee, at 20:27 he removed his knees which means after two minutes if his falling responsive. He had become motionless and declared dead.

Judiciary has passed the order murder charges against Mr. Chauvin and the other three officers Thomas Lane, Tou Thao, and J. Alexander Kueng are charged with aiding and abetting the killing it carries maximum sentences of as many as 40 years.

The judiciary played its role but the politics in the Us showed that it is still divided on race and white and black. There was no assurance cane from President Trump he did not do any public announcement to calm down the protestors rather he tweeted that increased the protest against the government.

The brutality of the police against the black is still very much in existence, although the 13% of the total population is black 23% percent of the total population who are targeted by police are black and most f the cases the black are unarmed. for example, the 17-year-old Travyon Martin was killed as suspicious. Eric Garner, Micheal Brown, Tamir Rice, and Ahmed Arbery were all black and unarmed.

It shows still the race discrimination and stereotype hatred towards Blacks are still present and at present with this government as there is no open assurance coming from the government the unrest is more.
