ANS A) GYCOLYSIS :
This takes place in the cytosol that is the aqueous material found inside the cell. In glycolysis, glucose is broken down into pyruvate. The energy produced in the process is 2 ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) and 2 NADH (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide)
KREB'S CITRIC ACID CYCLE: This takes place inside the mitochondria. The aerobic organisms usually release energy by oxidation of acetyl coenzyme A through this method.
ELECTRON TRANSPORT CHAIN: These are a chain of steps involved in the transfer of electrons from donors to their receptors for release of energy by NADH produced during glycolysis and FADH2 produced during Kreb's cycle, taking place in mitochondria of the cells.
