Five examples of value-added activities from a retail store perspective are:-
1) Great services:- Retailers try to meet and exceed customer expectations by providing great services in time before and after-sale. This will give a memorable experience to customers and more likely to shop again in the future.
2) Promotional package:- Promotion activities with a value-added package like gifts with purchase, discounts, coupons, contests, etc enhance the customers buying decisions and create brand awareness.
3) Labeling:- Labelling offers customers information about the product such as brand and price along with other specific instructions.
4) Convenience:- Opening store at a convenient location, providing a wide range of payment methods, store timing, offering online shopping all these gives customers more flexibility while purchasing.
5) Repair or alterations:- Repair services are found in retail environments that provide watches and footwear services such as fixing, setting up products while alterations are mostly done in clothing retail stores. These are provided as a value-added service to their customers
