There are five (5) main types of warehousing. List and explain them.
Warehousing:
This is a place where raw materials or finished goods are stored at the location before distributing for sale in safer and securitarial conditions.
There are some types of warehouses so we can call and explain them as below mentiond:
1. Private Warehouses :
These warehouse are owned by wholesalers, retailes, manufacturer or traders and they preserve their own stock at their places. Normally these warehousers are constructed by farmers, retailers or wholesalers where their business and activies are near by locations.
2. Public/Commercial Warehouses :
Generally these warehouse are runs by public, coporate or goverment bodies and anybody can store goods at these places. A company, individuals, proprietors or any partnership firm can construct these warehouses and to some restrictions goverment restricts some rules to the owners. Any buiness persons or normal individual person can store the goods by paying some rent to the owner. A exporter, importer, goverment agencies, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers etc., use these locations
3. Government warehouses :
These ware house are contolled and manged by goverment of central, state, local or public authorities. The rules and regulations are managed by government, under this goverment or private enterprises use to store the goods. These warehouses have more safety and sucured condition protection and cheaper than any other private warehouses.
4. Bonded warehouses :
Bonded houses are those for which the import duty is not yet paid for storing the goods and they are not allowable to move the goods till final import duty is paid. This have importance as while doing import twice or thrice have benefits to pay the duty at once at agreed price as per government rules. These are controlled and managed by government bodies and private agencies.
5. Duty paid warehouosees :
Duty paide warehouses are those where one has paid duty on imported goods already as it gives sthe benefit has one may opt for delivering the goods at a future date and there may be chances of rise in price of duty import tax so willing to pay amount earlier or avoidance for the risk of getting warehouses on timely basis. This category of warehouses used mostly domestic players. These warehouses are authorisez by port authority and owned by public authorities.
6. Co operative warehouse :
These warehouses are owned, contolled and managed by co operative societies and useed by the member of their societies and prices of the warehouse depends on more economical factors. These warehouses focus on helping their members.
7. Cold storage warehouse :
As need and health of people are important cold storage ware houses are in place for preseving the perishable goods for e.g. fruits, vegetables, dairy products, eggs, meat, fiss etc.,. These warehouses wroks on refregiretaion of temperature required for the goods stored under type of goods stored.
