There is no trick or magic to be successful in anything you do. As far as success in college is concerned first of all you need to define the direction of success you are looking for. For example, do you consider the academic excellence as a success, or do you consider a personality development through various clubs, and extra curricular activities as success in college?

To get success in college you need to first specify the direction in which you want to achieve success. After that there is no substitute to hard work and determination. You need to plan, priortize your goals and work consistently towards improving yourself. Also, "attitude determines the altitude" so you must have a positive attitude towards learning things and achieveing your goals.

Some tips that worked for me are:

Proper planning
Following a fixed schedule
Identifying the weak areas
Improving the strengths and working on weaknesses simultaneously
Attitude of learning over just knowing the things
