Name the structural levels of the body and briefly describe each level.

Name the structural levels of the body and briefly describe each level.

Solutions

Expert Solution

Structural levels of the body includes

Atoms

Molecules

Macromolecules

Organelles

Cell

Tissue

Oragan

Organ system

Organism.

Atomic level;

These are the smallest units of an element.they have the properties of elements.examples carbon ,hydrogen and oxygen.

Molecular level;

Atoms combine to form molecules . Molecules have properties differ from atoms.molecules inculde water, carbohydrates, DNA etc.

Macromolecular level

All the molecule combine to form macromolecules

Organelles level

Macromoleculaes form organelles that are nucleus , mitochondria etc.

Cellular level

Cells are smallest unit of life .cells are enclosed by cell membrane.They do specific functions.examples include muscle cell ,neuron cell etc.

Tissue level

Tissues are group of cells with similar function.

Muscles cells group to form muscle tissue.

Oragan level

In this two or more types of tissue that work together to complete a specific function.

Eg stomach - digestion

Organ systems level

It is group of organs that carries out more generalised set of functions.

Eg ;Digestive system

Organism level

Organism has several organs systems that function together. That is human.
