Mahmoud is a manager in a car manufacturing company, he is faced by a business problem; as he has poor staff commitment and this, in turn, has a negative effect on the company’s profit. Mahmood will need to deliver a report and a presentation demonstrating his approach to solving this problem to the Company Executive Manager. Mahmoud has decided to do some research to solve this problem.

  1. Develop a research process that Mahmoud needs to take in order to solve his problem. And ensure to explain each station of the research process from the initial stage in understanding the research problem to the presentation of his finding to his manager. .

Mahmoud should try to adopt the following steps in his market research,

1) Identifying the research problems

He should analyze the gaps in business outcomes and resources utilized. Apart from this , he can take mangerial versus non managerial challenges to study. Customers analysis, competitors analysis and internal business strengths and staffing process may be studied for simplifications.

2) Introduction of the problems in theoretical manner and setting of research objectives

A theory based approach must be taken so that to define and explore the problems . A set of research objectives may be written based on certain gaps .

3) Research Methods

Research should be based on quantitative data . It means a descriptive analysis will be better options. He may goes for further exploratory studies too.

He should take population of all the employees of his company . A sample should be drawn based on simple random sampling techniques. Strata may be developed by categorizing of employees department wise.

First he should have to collect data based on primary data. In which, a structured questionnaire will be used.

4) Data analysis and interpretation:

He must choose appropriate statistical test based on metric and non metric criteria. Interpretation will be done based on results .

5) Report writing:

A systematic report must be published in attractive format. Every thing must be highlighted if having little or more importance.

It is better to make a ppt, video presentation, pdf e - project work and other tools if required.
