The way of doing business has changed a lot from what it was few years back and organizations today are changing at a high pace in order to cope with the changing environment which has made it clear that stagnant organizations will not survive in this setup and in order to remain competitive organization have to be dynamic and flexible in their approach. If we look at the process of change in organizations we will observe that implementing a change is very much difficult today because the employees and the workforce of the organization may not be ready to accept any change because accepting a change will mean that the workforce will have to come out of their comfort zone and start with a new objective and generally the employees do not prefer such an activity but there is no option left with organizations today because of the high level of competition.
While planning to implement a change, organizations have to have a knowledge of the industry as well as knowledge of the organization culture, because of the culture of the organization is not feasible with the method or process of change, then the organization may fail to effectively implement any change, hence the management planning to create a change needs to be focused enough because culture plays a important role and changing the culture of the organization overnight is impossible. If the organization possess an hierarchy culture, then the organization have to understand what changes the organization needs to go through in order to implement a change and the change has to be implemented at each and every hierarchy starting from the top management to the junior level employees. If the organization follows a adhocracy culture, then the organization may not have much challenges implementing the same because then the organization will keep up to the changes easily and make things happen in a convenient manner. So it is clear that the culture of the organization needs to adapt to change in order to remain competitive.
