The main difference between brand and branding is one is
marketing tool and other one is action. Brand represent your
identity at the market whereas the branding is the action to create
brand. Brand defines the emotional relationship between consumer
and the business. The branding includes the process such as
positioning your company or product in the market, devising the
brand strategy, creating your name in the market, writing brand
message, creating corporate or product identity, setting the brand
standards etc. The brand is the result of branding effort. It
describes who you are and what you do. Brand is the asset for
company, product or service and branding is an investment to create

Market leaders must maintain the superior quality over the
competitors in order to maintain their status. In order to grow
their career it is important to pay attention on brand and
branding. A strong brand with unique image and identity will help
to define the company culture. It defines the companies to either
customer centric or product centric , hence it shapes the external
and internal relation of organization with stakeholders. For brand
to perform this role it is important to have the presence of strong
leadership skills.
