By the produced cellular product: Some times the produced cellular products can used as the negative regulators which stimulate the cell to stop the releasing molecules which stimulate the receptors of the cell.

By inhibiting the receptor: The cellular products can also used to block the receptors on the cell, when the produced products of the cell inhibits the receptors on the membrane.
