Based on the life-stage of the organization, culture changes in a following way:

  • Stage 1(Existence): This is the birth stage of an organization also known as entrepreneurial stage where there is starting of an organization. The culture at this stage is to acknowledge adequate number of customers to keep business of the organization active.
  • Stage 2(Survival): This is the survival stage of an organization and the culture changes from acknowledgement of customers to generating sufficient revenue for survival. For that, company set daily targets and try to achieve them on regular basis.
  • Stage 3(Maturity): This is the Maturity stage and in this stage culture of the organization changes from getting more revenue to safeguard their growth and focus on expansion. At this stage, an organization enters into a more formal hierarchy of management.
  • Stage 4(Renewal): This is the Renewal stage and the culture changes from hierarchy to matrix style with the motive to flexibility and creativity.
  • Stage 5(Decline): This is the Decline stage and basically the death stage of an organization. The culture at this stage destroyed by been occupied by focusing on political agenda.
