Analyze the Control mechanisms used in a (Water and diesel transportation projects) :

How do (if any) the control system works (design)?

Solutions

Expert Solution

there are many factor we should consider in diesel transport system that is :-

1) method of construction

2) location

3) ventilation

4)hazards

5) fire safety

diesel transport is mainly done by either pipeline or vehicle

from pipeline:- pipes carrying diesel is either welded or screwed and maximum dia is restricted to 25 mm to reduce spillage in case of failure and control mechanism are :-

1) combined capacity of surface batch tank and pipeline feeding underground tank should not exceed 50% of the largest underground tank capacity.

2)filling of the surface batch tank should not take place while diesel is being transferred to the underground storage tank.

3) a communication system should be provide between the surface batch tank and the underground storage area outside the bounded area.

4) pipework should be firmly supported and positioned.

From vehicle :- vehicles are mainly used to transport the diesel and control mechanism are :-

1)vehicles should be well maintained and kept clean.

2)container should be leak proof.

3) transfer of the diesel to the storage tank will be done by pump
